How to Submit Your Software to Softwareroad
Softwareroad is a simple way to showcase your apps, tools and utilities, and get
exposure from developers, makers and power users. Follow this quick guide to
submit your software in a few minutes.
1. Create an Account or Log In
To submit software you need a free Softwareroad account.
- Go to the top right corner and click Sign Up (or Log In if you already have an account).
- Confirm your email address if requested.
2. Click “Submit Software”
You can start a submission in any of these ways:
- Click the Submit Software button at the top of the page.
- Or use the floating Submit Software button on mobile (if visible).
This opens the submission form where you create a new listing.
3. Add a Clear Title
In the Title field, enter the name of your software or tool.
- Keep it short and recognizable.
- Example: “FlowNote – Minimal Note-Taking App”
4. Write a Short Description
In the main text area, briefly explain what your software does and why someone
would use it.
- 1–3 short sentences is usually enough.
- Mention the main problem it solves or its key feature.
- Example: “FlowNote is a distraction-free note app for quick ideas and
todo lists. Syncs across devices and works offline.”
5. Include the Website or Download Link
Please add a direct link so people can learn more or download your software.
- Paste your official website, store page, or GitHub repository URL.
- You can put this link at the top or bottom of the description.
- Example:
https://example.com
6. Choose the Right Category
On the right side of the submission form, select the category that best matches
your software (for example: Productivity, Utilities,
Developer Tools, AI Tools, etc.).
- Pick the single category that fits best.
- This helps users discover your software more easily.
7. Add a Screenshot or Logo (Recommended)
Listings with images usually get more attention.
- Use the upload button to add a screenshot or logo.
- Use a clear image that shows the UI or logo of your product.
8. Double-Check and Publish
- Check your title, description and link for typos.
- Make sure the category is correct.
- Click Post to publish your listing.
Once posted, other users can view, comment and upvote your software.
Tips for Getting More Upvotes
- Use a clear, benefit-focused title.
- Explain briefly who your software is for.
- Share your Softwareroad link on social media, in communities and with your existing users.
- Reply to comments and questions to keep the discussion active.
Content Rules
- Only submit software you own, created or are officially allowed to promote.
- No malware, scams or intentionally harmful content.
- No adult, hateful or illegal material.
Listings that break these rules may be removed and accounts may be suspended.
